Syrup Production Facility - Beverage Manufacturer
ABCO Automation, Inc. was privileged to be chosen as part of a design team for a
new beverage syrup manufacturing facility. Only two outside firms were selected,
ABCO for it's packaging experience and expertise.
ABCO's responsibilities included developing concepts and budgets, project
justification, facility layouts, utility requirements, equipment specification
and procurement, installation supervision, sub-contractor management, startup,
commissioning, and training.
The project featured 7 packaging lines. ABCO was required to work closely with
multiple vendors and team work played an important role in the project. A very
intensive training period followed, with ABCO's role being key to facilitating
the training for the new plant.
The "green field" project was a 2 1/2 year effort that was delivered on time and
on budget. Working efficiently and effectively, ABCO actually reduced the
purchase order amount by 10% and returned the unused funds to the customer.
